Editorial independence
Advertising and monetization disclosure
Readers should be able to tell why a business, product, or link appears on the site. This page records the current monetization status and the rules that would apply to future advertising or sponsorship.
Current status
As of October 26, 2026, the published site does not sell sponsored rankings, paid shop placement, native advertising, or affiliate recommendations. Directory inclusion is based on public relevance and available first-party information, not payment.
Auto Sport Imports appears in the directory because it is the site publisher and is labeled in the same neutral format used for other businesses. That inclusion must not be read as a comparative ranking.
Editorial separation
Editorial topics, explanations, safety notes, cost methodology, corrections, and source selection are not changed to satisfy an advertiser. A future commercial relationship would not permit a sponsor to claim an unverified certification, hide material limitations, or rewrite an independent conclusion.
Ads or sponsored placements, if introduced, must be visually distinguishable from navigation and editorial content. The responsible business and the commercial nature of the placement must be clear near the content rather than hidden only on this page.
Affiliate links and referrals
The site currently does not represent ordinary editorial source links or map links as affiliate relationships. If a future link produces compensation or a referral benefit, that relationship must be disclosed near the link or recommendation in plain language.
Compensation would not convert a general educational page into a vehicle-specific endorsement. Readers should still compare fitment, warranty, return terms, repair scope, and professional advice.
Shop listings
A basic directory record is not evidence that a shop was inspected, certified, insured, licensed for every activity, or approved by Auto Sport Imports. Businesses may request a factual correction, but they may not purchase a higher editorial rank or remove a material disclosure.
If paid listing features are ever offered, paid enhancements must be labeled and kept separate from the neutral fields used to compare public business information.
Questions and changes
Material monetization changes will be reflected here with a new effective date. Questions about advertising, commercial relationships, or a disclosure can be sent to server@autosportnw.com. Editorial errors should follow the separate corrections process.
